Bridges

Bridges
A bridge, also called a fixed partial denture, replaces missing teeth with artificial teeth.
- Unlike a removable partial denture, a bridge cannot be removed.
- A bridge is often made from a combination of metal and porcelain. Unlike implants, the artificial porcelain teeth are attached to the surrounding natural teeth to anchor them securely.
- Bridges require special care when cleaning inside your mouth, as the areas between the teeth are more difficult to access than natural teeth or dental implants. This often requires special cleaning instruments at home, such as floss threaders.
